Derek Silverio Industrial Designer + Entrepreneur

 I am a designer with over 8 years of experience who has worked for small consulting firms and large corporations. At my first design gig at Utility Inc. I designed point-of-purchase displays, trade show booths and retail fixtures for outdoor and apparel companies. There, I was involved in all aspects of design to production.

 As an Industrial Designer for four years at Fluke Networks I  was a key contributor to a multi-disciplinary, engineering and design team. My experience in plastic part design, creative problem solving, and user research melded with my ability to create objects of desire and function.

 Currently, I am employed at BDA Inc. where I design video game, entertainment and lifestyle products under the brand Power A. I am fortunate to be managing a team of talented Industrial and Graphic designers who bring countless ideas to life for fortune 500 companies.

 I am a native son of Seattle and graduated from the University of Washington's Industrial Design program. When I am not hard at work and conjuring up wacky ideas, I spend quality time with my family and friends. I can also be found zooming the streets on my road bike and hitting the punching bags.
